Nothing yet!! But when my blog got 100 followers it really felt very happy, i know that it was not so big following but what i do is to find happiness in small things. THATS WHY I WAS HAPPY AND IT WAS SPECIAL.

The Star That Got Eaten By A Blackhole

On March 28, 2011, Scientists recieved a huge amount of X-rays and γ-rays from a previously quite part of the universe. The rays were coming from centre of a small galaxy in Darco constellation about 3.9 billion light years away and were moving with speed very close to the speed of light (nearly 99.5% the speed of light). It probably took place when a star went too closer to a Black hole and and torn apart and swallowed the black hole due to gravitation.

When the star goes close to a Black hole strong tidal force of the Balck hole distort the star and it leads to the formation of a gaseous disk that moves in whirling motion around the black hole. Near the Black hole magnetic field produces a narrow jet of particles moving near speed of light.

In case of J1644+57 the jet pointed directly towards the Earth.

THIS EVENT WAS REALLY RARE AND WAS OBSERVED FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Cassini – The impressive 13 years

Launched in 1997, After spending 20 years in space, After orbiting the Saturn for 13 years, Cassini finally dived into Saturn’s atmosphere. But the discoveries made by it are really impressive..

Star inside a Star

HV 2210 is a star which is located 1,99,000 light years from us in the Small Magellanic cloud (a satellite galaxy of our milky way) in Tucana constellation.

It looks like a red gaint from outside but when light emitted from it was studied it was found rich in elements like Molybdenum, lithium, Strontium, Yttrium and Rubidium. A normal super gaint also contain these elements but not in such high amount.

Thats why it was proposed that it is a Throne-Zytkow object.

Thorne-Zytkow object is a type of star which is formed by the collision of a red giant or supergiant star with a neutron star. When a star goes into supernova and leads to the formation of a neutron star, a passing by red supergiant star collides with the neutron star and absorbs it forming a hybrid star. So in other words its a star inside a star!!!

From outside its a red supergiant whereas the core is formed by a neutron star

It is still being studied to be confirmed as a Hybrid Star.

13.7 billion years ago, After the Big Bang , the universe has passed through different phases.

Most of things happened just a second after the Big Bang.

Six eras passed in 1 second after the Big Bang :-

Plank epoch or plank era 

 This era ended after approximately 10^-43 second. The temperature was very high and four fundamental forces were one super force. 10^-43 second is also called 1 plank time. At this point the universe spans a regiona of 10^-35m only which is called 1 Plank length.
Grand Unification epoch

This era ended after 10^-36 second and gravity splitted from other fundamental forces.
Inflationary epoch

This era ended after 10^-32 second. The universe underwent rapid exponential expansion. This expansion is known as cosmic inflanation. 

Electro-weak Epoch

From 10^-36 to 10^-12 seconds, strong nuclear force saperated from other two.

Quark Epoch

Universe cools of to below 10 quadrillion degrees and four fundamental forces were saperated completely. Quarks, electrons and neutrinos form in very large, quarks and anti-quarks annihilate but due to baryogenesis, very few (one in every billion pair) survives and ultimately combines to form matter.

Hadron Epoch

Temperature cool of to a trillion degree and allow quarks to form protons and neutrons.

This much happened within the one second after the big bang.

Lepton Epoch

After the annihilation of hadrons, Leptons and Anti-Leptons dominate the mass of universe The era ends at three seconds.

Nucleosynthesis

Temperature of the universe falls to the point where protons and neutrons combine through nuclear fusion to from the nuclei of simple elements. This era ends at 20 minute.

Photon Epoch

Universe is filled with plasma, after annihilation of leptons and anti-leptons, most of the energy of universe is present in form of photons. Universe will in this state till 240,000 years.

Recombination

Ionises Hydrogen and helium atoms are capturing electrons and are neutralizing their electric charges. Universe is made up of 75% Hydrogen and 25% Helium and just traces of Lithium. 

Dark age

This is the time after 300,000 years, the universe is totally dark, no stars have been formed yet. It will remain dark till 150 million years.

Stars and galaxy formation

The dense cloud of cosmic gas is collapsing due to its own gravitational pull and is becoming hot enough to start nuclear fusion between Hydrogen atoms.

The first stars have formed,they are short-lived and Supermassive. 

Larger stars are burning quickly and exploding in supernova a events and their ashes are going to form subsequent generations of stars.

Galaxies are forming and gravitational force is pulling the galaxies toward each other forming clusters and superclusters.

Solar system formation

8.5 to 8 million years after the big bang our solar system has formed.
Today, the age of universe is 13.7 million years, our universe is expanding and old star suffs are recycling to form new stars….

Neutrinos, they are very small

    They have no charge and no mass

And dont interact at all

The Earth is just like a silly ball

    To them, through which they simply pass

Like dustmaids down a dusty hall 

    Or photons through a sheet of glass….

Lighthouse of the universe….

HISTORY

            It was 28th day of 11th month of 68th year of the 20th century, when Joyce Bell Brunelli and Antony Hewish observed pulses saperated by 1.33 seconds from a location in the sky. 

             At the first time they said that “we can’t believe that we have picked up signals from other civilization”

              They nicknamed the signal as LGM-1 , because it was strongly suggested that these emissions are from little green man.

INTRODUCTION

              Pulsar consists of the word pulse  and stars. 

       Pulsars are highly magnetic nuetron stars which rotate with very high angular velocity and emit electromagnetic radiations.

        The radio emissions are emitted in the form continuous pulse and they are beamed (can only be observed when it crosses the line of sight of the observer.) , Thats why they resemble a Lighthouse.

Formation and death


When a core of massive star is compressed during a supernova it collapse into a nuetron star. Since nuetron star retains its angular momentum, therefore,

                    I¹ω¹ = I²ω²

A nuetron star has very small radius therefore after the compression its momemt of inertia decreases very much, which increases its angular velocity. Thats why Pulsars rotate with high angular velocities.

And beacause of this rotation magnetic field generates due to dynamo effect. The magnetic axis rotates along with the pulsar and due to this movement of magnetic field electric field generates which exerts a force on the charged particles on the surface. Therefore, the charge particles accelerate and as we know thar acceleration of charge particles produces electromagnetic waves, therefore electromagnetic waves produce along the magnetic axis of the Pulsars as a beam.

Also due to generation of electromagnetic power the speed of rotation reduces and Pulsar slows down ( which is called its death point)
